The aim of this statement is to tell you how we use any personal data we collect about you.

_______________

Privacy policy

What information do we collect?

.

By registering at The Players Academy, you agree that we may process the data you give us. The basis for processing any data we receive is to ensure we can safely and securely carry out our services.

Currently we use your home address and email address to send out all our class information and schedules. We will have gathered these details either directly from an email when you first contacted us to sign up, or via a sign-up form at a 2 week trial, or when you joined The Players Academy.

When you enrol a student at The Players Academy, we will collect the following personal data: parent or guardian’s name; contact details; name, age, gender date of birth of student and school attended; and any medical conditions the student has. If the student is over 16 years of age, please ensure that you have their permission to share these details with us.

You are entitled to see the information held about you.  You may review, correct, update or ask for us to remove your personal data at any time by contacting us directly at info@theplayersacademy.co.uk

However, please understand that your information cannot be removed if you still have a child registered with us, and attending classes, as we need these details to ensure their safety in cases of emergency.

The Players Academy will from time to time take photographs and film footage of students during class time for use in The Players Academy marketing and publicity material (both online and offline).  If you do not wish for your child to be photographed/filmed please let us know in writing.

Additionally, we occasionally film dance numbers during our classes which we upload to dropbox and send out as links to the email addresses that we hold for you for the students to use as learning support.  These are not published or uploaded to any social media sites and are only shared with members of The Players Academy. If you do not wish for your child to be included in these films please let us know in writing, although be aware that they will then miss a chunk of rehearsal time.

We will not disclose your personal data to any other third parties, except when we believe this is required by law, to enforce or comply with our terms and conditions or to protect the rights, property, safety of The Players Academy, our customers or others.

How will information about you be used and shared?

The information we collect allows us:
To safely provide teaching services in singing, dance and drama ensuring that we have the relevant necessary information about your child to ensure their well-being and to ensure that emergency details are readily available;

To meet legal, regulatory and compliance requirements including the administration of statutory obligations relating to children;

To communicate with you.

The information we collect is shared between the business partners, Lara Prentice and Jemma Harris for the purpose of ensuring the well-being of students and to ensure that emergency details are readily available.

It may also be necessary from time to time to share your details with your local council for performing permissions.

How long do we keep your information?

We will not keep personal information for longer than it is necessary, and will only retain information for as long as needed to carry out our functions and that purpose.

Transfer of Your Data Outside the EU
